HIGH POWER PHASE ANGLE CONTROL 25A ac TPSR X10284 INTRODUCTION The TPSR series of Solid State temperature controllers are designed to regulate the fan speed in heating, ventilating and air conditioning systems. The thermistor replaces the conventional thermostat thus giving proportional control to allow continuous control of the blower speed in response to the temperature. The TPSR also incorporates a set minimum fan speed, for the gentle circulation of air through the heat exchanger and to provide protection of the motor bearing. APPLICATIONS Suitable for quartz lamps, conventional resistive heating elements, including ovens, moulders, dryers and some other inductive loads. FEATURES • Solid state reliability. • Epoxy encapsulated. • Simple Installation. • Rugged and compact • High current capability. • Internal snubber INSTALLATION INSTALLATION COOLING REQUIREMENTS TPSR SENSOR ASSEMBLY RT-CURVE RESISTANCE (OMHS) TPSR SENSOR CURVE USING THERMISTOR UQT 1090 (B) 250,000.00 200,000.00 150,000.00 100,000.00 50,000.00 145 135 125 115 95 105 85 75 65 55 45 35 25 0.00 TEMPERATURE ( º C) SPECIFICATIONS AC line voltage Thermistor Peak one cycle surge (10ms) I2t for fusing (10ms ) Isolation voltage (for 1min) Unit current rating Operation temperature 230V +/-10% See X10308 250A 250 A2s 5000Vrms 25A 0-65°C Line frequency Triac limiting RMS current Max peak voltage Minimum operating current Leakage current Manual potentiometer (nominal) Storage temperature 50/60 Hz 26A 600V ac 200mA 5mA 250K 1W @ 230V ac -20°C to +85°C FUSING It is recommended to use semiconductor (fast acting) type fuses or circuit breakers (Semiconductor - MCB) for unit protection and an appropriate safety fuse for unit supply (F1A). On initial ‘switch on’ some loads may need an increased factor of safety (F of S) for unit and/or device protection. (See SRA Datasheet for further information). CE MARKING This product family carries a “CE marking”. These phase angle controllers need a suitable remote filter. For information see recommendation section and contact our sales desk.
