FCI-CHG-120 Battery Charging System Description The FCI-CHG-120 is the compatible battery charging system that is designed for use with the AA-100 and the AA120 bulk amplifiers. It is used to charge lead-acid batteries between 25 and 120 ampere-hours (A/H). Construction and Application The FCI-CHG-120 consists of a PC board and a mounting chassis. Applications Use the FCI-CHG-120 Battery Charging System when the batteries are required for standby between 25 to 120 A/H. The FCI-CHG-120 has the capability to charge two (2), 26 A/H batteries or two (2) 50 A/H batteries. Installation You can install the FCI-CHG-120 within 20 ft. (6.096 m) from the main fire alarm control panel. There are a variety of mounting options available for the FCI-CHG-120. The FCI-CHG-120 can be mounted in the following two backboxes: • CAB-4 Series backbox • FCI-LBB Battery backbox (used for remote installations) CAB-4 Series Backbox Installation To mount the FCI-CHG-120 to the CAB-4 Series backbox, do the following: 1. Mount the FCI-CHG-120 in the main power supply position on the lower left corner of the CAB-4 Series backbox. 2. Position the FCI-CHG-120 in the lower right location (usually located where the batteries are mounted) of the CAB-4 Series backbox. 3. To secure the FCI-CHG-120 to the CAB-4 Series backbox, use self-tapping screws. FCI-LBB Backbox Remote Installation To mount the FCI-CHG-120 to the FCI-LBB Series backbox, do the following: 1. Mount the FCI-CHG-120 in the left side of the FCI-LBB backbox. 2. To secure the FCI-CHG-120 to the FCI-LBB Series backbox, use self-tapping screws. Note: Only one (1) 55 A/H battery or two (2) A/H batteries will mount with the charger board in the BB-FF/FCI-LBB cabinet. The following list the types of batteries: - Up to two (2) 26 A/H batteries. - Up to two (2) 55/60 A/H batteries. - One (1) 100 A/H battery.
