Protects against corrosion, switch contact oxidation, tampering and accumulation of deposits leading to pivot hang up. * Glass-to-metal feed through – internal switch contact wiring connected to wiring pins which extend through a sophisticated glass barrier. This prevents air leakage into the switch mechanism and isolates the wiring electrically. * 316 construction – switch mechanism is totally enclosed in a 316 stainless steel container which is hermetically sealed using a precision pulsed TIG automatic welding machine. * Terminal block/high temperature cable welded to the feed through pins, with RTV corrosion protection – Prevents shearing from vibration and extends wiring life by minimizing galvanic corrosion occuring on low voltage DC service. * 305 mm (12") long exposed wiring leads – allows leads, which are numerically identified, to be easily field connected away from the switch enclosure. SELECTION DATA HS switches may be specified when purchasing new level controls; or, they may be ordered individually to replace the switch in existing level controls. When ordered as part of a new level control, use "Model code" as last part of the ten-digit model number. To replace an existing mechanism, use the "replacement part number". When ordered as a replacement switch, the numeric ten-digit part number is used with a quantity specified. Should there be any questions regarding the correct HS switch code or part number to use, please consult your local Magnetrol representative. IMPORTANT: Check switch temperature and ampere rating required before substituting the HS switch.
