Rev. 1.0 – June 2007 1/2 © 2007 Sipex Corporation SP6260 – Ultra Low Noise 150mA High Speed LDO Product Brief GENERAL DESCRIPTION The SP6260 series are 150mA CMOS positive voltage regulators with selectable output voltages ranging from 1.5V to 3.3V. These devices feature an ultra low output noise figure at 30µVrms without requiring an external bypass capacitor making these devices extremely suitable for powering any type of RF circuitry. Only two small 1µF ceramic input and output capacitors complete the required Bill of Material further reducing the solution footprint. High speed line and load transient responses make it ideal to implement elaborate power management schemes. Achieving a mere 25µA ground pin current, a logic enabled pin reduces the overall current consumption below 1µA for maximum battery life. The SP6260 consists of a voltage reference, an error amplifier, a resistor network for setting output voltage; a current limit circuit for current protection and a chip enable circuit. The SP6260 is available in standard Lead Free, RoHS Compliant SOT23-5L package.
