TEMPEST MAINS POWER LINE FILTER, 30 AMP PRODUCT DATASHEET Features • High performance EMI suppression filter • Robust design • Full frequency spectrum • Fanless, silent operation • Quadruple filtered outputs • SDIP-27 Level A Compliant Description The SST power line filter is designed to isolate signals generated within terminal equipment where they are not connected to a filtered mains supply. High attenuation and wide band filtering capabilities significantly reduce the signals conducted on the power line. This filter is designed specifically for use on single-phase mains, and has all the advantages of using current compensating inductors and provides four European standard power outlets with side contact and pin grounding capabilities for correct orientation of power to TEMPEST equipment. It features a dual rated SP&N and 2-phase full frequency spectrum high performance power line EMI suppression filter. The filter is manufactured by integrating high resilience ultra highspeed feed through capacitors and magnetic elements effective under all loading conditions. The design of the SST power line filter allows use within an electrical distribution system requiring bi-directional attenuation of incident / equipment EMI. Installation of the filter supports equipment compliance with the requirements of system InfoSec and EMC specifications. The enclosure is robust for daily use and designed to be down-line tolerable to a personnel protection RCCD. The Power Filters are designed for the most stringent TEMPEST applications requiring compliance to SDIP-27 Level A and compliment the extensive range of TEMPEST products, more details of which can be found at www.sst.ws Secure Systems & Technologies Ltd +44 (0)1452 371999 E-mail: [email protected] http://www.sst.ws TEMPEST MAINS POWER LINE FILTER, 30 AMP PRODUCT SPECIFICATION MAIN FEATURES TEMPEST For NATO Zone 0 applications Product type Single enclosure low pass EMI suppression filter Compliance CE Compliant, Safety to BSEN60950 Power Supply Stationary pluggable Type A connection ENVIRONMENTAL Rated voltage Single Phase + Neutral 240VAC Rated voltage 2-phase 240/120VAC 50/60Hz Rated Current 30A @40°C 2 lines – capacitive & magnetic line coupling, Neutral load current return. Confirmation by testing that the filter is suitable for its application condition is recommended to be performed by the User before specifying the filter into equipments. It is not intended that filters be cascaded in series. System Designer remains responsible for verifying that the filter design standard enables compliance with equipment and platform specifications. A true low impedance earth bond should be made between the filter enclosure and a clean paint free metal surface of chassis or bulkhead. The filter capacitors are self-bleeding but the user continues to be obligated to ensure that the application circuit contains a satisfactory alternative safety discharge mechanism. Usual industry safety practice of confirmation of discharge by short-circuiting after power supply is removed should be observed.
