Test Summary
HALT Temperature Cycling Step Stress and Vibration
The unit is exposed to progressively more severe operating temperatures and random vibration
environments. Failures that occur are diagnosed for root cause, corrective action is performed, and then
the test is continued. The levels are increased until the test extremes or the fundamental limit of the unit
is reached (whether by technological or economic limitations.)
Vibration Qualification
MIL-STD-810E, Commercial Transport, Fig. 514-4-7. One hour of random vibration in each of three (3)
orthogonal axes. Profile: 0.015 g2/hz, 10-40 hz; -6 dB/oct, 40-500 hz; 1.04 grms.
Thermal Survey
After attaching thermocouples, the unit is placed in the chamber, with power on, and allowed to reach a
stable temperature. Component temperatures are monitored throughout the test. See attached chart for
all configurations.
