Plug the electrical outlet adapter into a standard AC outlet. For Vehicle Use: Plug the DC car adapter output plug into the DC input jack of the charger. Plug the large end of the cord into the 12V car accessory/lighter port. When batteries are charging, the LED indicators will light. When charging is complete (up to 3.5 hours), the LED indicators will turn off. Unplug the charger from the outlet and remove batteries. NOTE: Charger and batteries may be left plugged into outlet to maintain charge. NOTE: For best performance, charge the batteries between 59°F and 77°F (15°C and 25°C). If the area is to warm, the batteries will not be fully charged. If the area is to cold, the batteries will lose their ability to charge. Important Safety Instructions: * Batteries must be charged in pairs according to specific battery sizes (see instructions #2). Will not charge 1 or 3 batteries. Product Detail: Raise positive holder tab to allow charger to accept AA size NiMH batteries or lower tab to accept AAA size NiMH batteries. Install batteries in bay as indicated by the polarity (+/-) symbols. NOTE: if charging only two batteries, they should be placed in the left two chambers only. 10. To reduce the risk of injury, charge only rechargeable NiMH batteries with the charger. Other types of batteries might burst, causing personal injury or damage to your charger. Do not charge batteries with different capacities at the same time. For indoor use only. Do not expose charger to rain, snow, or excessive moisture.
