Sound and Audio (F Series) Features / Benefits API Technologies has been manufacturing film capacitors for its power filter designs for over 25 years. Our product line is extensive and encompasses a broad range of capabilities from standard end wrap and fill, to completely custom film capacitors. Film capacitors are utilized in military and commercial applications, can be manufactured in sizes from less than an inch to several feet, with the density dictated by the geometry of the capacitor. Housings are available in steel, aluminum, stainless and plastics. Given a large enough package size, nearly any voltage current and cap value is obtainable. The G series capacitors are designed primarily for DC applications – blocking, coupling, bypass, DC line filtering where RF and Audio components are small in comparison to DC rating. Applications in AC power systems as power factor correction and AC line filtering. Metallized Polyester Interference Suppressors (ZP66X Series) UL49-0 Compliant The J, X and Z series are designed for general purpose applications such as bypassing, coupling or decoupling. Can be used in both low and high impedance circuits. High volumetric efficiency and selfhealing properties. Usually the smallest and most economical of the metallized capacitors. The W and A Series, Metallized Polyphenylene Sulfide, were designed and can be integrated into applications where Polycarbonate (PPS) film capacitors are needed.
