Multilayer ceramic c chip capacitors s Porrtfolio of o autom motive-g grade NP0 N MLC CCs exp panded • Ind dustry’s bro oadest portfo olio in termss of voltage e range and capacitancce range • Sp pecified for up to +150 °C and suittable for harsh automotive environnments • Qu ualified to AEC-Q200 A Octo ober 28, 201 14 TDK Corporation has expanded its CG GA series of automotive-grade MLLCCs based d on NP0 ceram mics and no ow offers th he industry’ss broadest portfolio p of NP0 produccts in terms s of voltage range e and capacitance range. The new w lineup of NP0 types, which featture a tempe erature coeffficient of 0 and a a tolera ance of ±30 ppm/K up to t +150 °C, includes tyypes rated voltages v of 250 V to 630 V. The CGA series s of NP P0 MLCCs thus t are now availablee with rated voltages from 50 V to 630 0 V and rate ed capacita ances from 100 pF to 220 2 nF. Thee NP0 MLCC Cs feature a tem mperature ra ange of -55 5 °C to +150 0 °C. The CGA series is qualified tto AEC-Q20 00. Mass production will be b launched d in Novemb ber 2014. The e extension of o the existin ng range off NP0 MLCC Cs in case sizes s EIA 04402 to 2220 0 (IEC 1005 5 to 5750) iss based on TDK’s com prehensive e competenc ce and expeerience in materials m and m multilayer te echnologies s. Thanks to o their nearrly zero capa acitance driift related to o temp perature and d aging, the ese capacito ors are suita able for dem manding auutomotive ap pplications requiring stable temperaturre characterristics over a wide rang ge. They thuus make it possible p to achie eve precisely the outpu ut as intend ed by the design. d expanded series The e s underscores TD K's leaders ship in terms s of MLCC pproduct con nfigurations as w well as voltag ge and capa acitance rattings.* * As o of October 2014, according to TDK invesstigations ----sary Gloss • NP P0 characteriistics: tempe erature range e -55 °C to +150 °C, temp perature coeefficient of 0 ±30 ± ppm/K ns Main application utomotive ele ectronic contrrol units (EC Us) mounted d in high-tem mperature envvironments such s as the • Au engine comparrtment ere high reliability is requiired, such as s time consta ant circuits, fiilter circuits, resonant • All circuits whe ubber circuits circcuits and snu Main features an nd benefits • • • • pecified for up p to +150 °C C, suitable forr harsh envirronments Sp Bro oad product lineup for rated voltages from 50 V to o 630 V Wiide capacitan nce range fro om 100pF to 220nF ualified to AE EC-Q200 Qu TDK C Corporation 1/ 2 Key d data Serie es Dim mensions [m mm] CGA2 2 CGA3 3 CGA4 4 CGA5 5 CGA6 6 CGA8 8 CGA9 9 1.0 x 0.5 1.6 x 0.8 2.0 x 1.25 3.2 x 1.6 3.2 x 2.5 4.5 x 3.2 5.7 x 5.0 Rated d voltage [V V] 50 to 100 50 to 250 50 to 450 50 to 630 50 to 630 50 to 630 50 to 450 Capa acitance [pF … nF] 100 pF to 1 nnF 100 pF to 10 nF 100 pF to 33 nF 3.9 nF to 1000 nF 8.2 nF to 1000 nF 33 3 nF to 220 nF 10 00 nF to 1500 nF ----ut TDK Corp poration Abou TDK Corporation is a leading electronics ccompany bas sed in Tokyo o, Japan.
