At this thickness s the new m material offe ers the world d's highest magnetic pe ermeability** of 220 µ´ at a 1 MHz (ty yp.). IFL16 is designed d for a temp perature ran nge of betwe een -40 °C and +85 °C C and is suittable for thee frequency y range from 0.5 MHz to o 1000 MHz z. The stand dard size of the sheet is 300 mm x 200 mm. The sheet can a also be sup pplied on a roll r (300 mm m x 100 m). The new sheet extendds the existting TDK n sheets of types IFL10M and IFLL12. Volume product spectrum of noise suppression e production will start s in Septtember 201 5. er mobile devices is still focused oon the minia Deve elopment off smartphon nes and othe aturization of the e individual components, while the e range of functions f increases. Appart from a PCB layou ut that supp ports EMC, adequate a additional sh hielding of the devices is playing an a incre easingly imp portant role.. Noise sup pression sh heets such as a the new ultra-thin IF FL16 are a spacce-saving an nswer to this requireme ent. They ca an prevent emitted inteerference frrom pene etrating the device or can prevent reflections created within the devvice from afffecting the functtion of otherr devices. A gro owing numb ber of devices use a styylus pen for input, whic ch works onn the princip ple of magn netic inducttion. In orde er to improvve sensitivity y, these dev vices use m magnetic film ms for the inducctive sensor unit of the e display. Th his simultan neously dem mands both a high leve el of magn netic perme eability and a very thin film. On the e basis of its substantiaal competen nce regarding materrials and tec chnology, T TDK is offeriing attractiv ve solutions for such ap pplications with its new IFL16 foil. * Stattus: August 20 015, according g to TDK invesstigations ----Gloss sary • Ma agnetic perm meability (µ´): Measureme ent of the perrmeability of materials to magnetic fie elds.
