QUICK START GUIDE This QSG is for the Thermal Printer Development Kit system. 1. Requires a separate debug port converter such as a JLink. Connects TPDK3INC board to PC by RS232-C Used to deliver print data and commands. Connects TPDK3INC board to PC by USB cable Used to deliver print data and commands. Select communication mode, black mark, baud rate, print density, and print speed. Install and print 1) Install print head and front board Insert 21-pin FFC of printer into 21-pin FFC connector and Insert 15-pin FFC of printer into 15-pin FFC connector. 2) Install the DEMO frame MCU-QSG-510106-E-10 Page - 3 3) Install paper MCU-QSG-510106-E-10 Page - 4 4) Select communication mode The TPDK3INC supports two communication modes. Note: Two communications cannot be used at the same time. a) RS232 Connect the TPDK3INC board to PC with RS232-C cable, turn on toggle switch 1, and turn off toggle switch 3 and 4 to configure the baud rate to 115200bps b) USB Connect the TPDK3INC board to PC with USB cable, and turn off toggle switch 1. Note: Two adapter interfaces cannot be supplied at the same time. 6) Test print a) Offline test print Press Feed button and make system power on at the same time. The printer will enter test print state. b) Online test print Send test command to the TPDK3INC board. The data is “1D 28 41 02 00 00 02”. The image is printed as shown in the above.
