Co omplementing the existing MLF16608 series of o multilayerr powe er inductorss for signal lines, the M MLJ1608 serries was designed for uuse in near field comm munication (NFC) and power line applications especially y in smartphhones, table ets and NFC modules. The T new mu ultilayer pow wer inducto ors feature a high Q of up to 30 at 13.56 MHzz, a narrrow inducta ance tolerance of just ± ±5 percent, and excelle ent magnettic shielding g chara acteristics. They thus meet m all the e requirements for coils s used in NF FC applications and are e especially well-suited w fo or the LC filltering circu uit between the NFC coontrol chip and a anten nna. The ccurrent lineup covers inductance vvalues from m 160 nH to 560 nH. Thhanks to the eir high rated d currents ra anging from m 550 mA to o 750 mA, th hey ensure operationaal stability ev ven when hand dling the AC C signal currrents in the range of 10 00 mA to 30 00 mA that aare encoun ntered when n the comm munication circuit is actiive. The com mpact IEC 1608 packaage (EIA 06 603) of the MLJ1 1608 seriess has a footp print of 1.6 mm x 0.8 mm m and a lo ow-profile innsertion heig ght of 0.8 m mm.
