The status light on the charger will flash red for 1/2 second. ►Connect ► the charger to a compatible Measurement Specialties device or battery pack. The status light on the charger will begin flashing green, indicating that the battery is charging. ►The ► status light will stop flashing and remain steady green when the battery is fully charged. ►After ► being fully charged, a battery can be topped off by leaving the charger attached for an additional hour after the status light stops flashing. The battery charger will automatically stop charging after the battery is topped off. Every 24 hours the battery charger will check the battery and top off if required. The status light remains steady green during this process. ►Battery ► should be stored at approximately 40% charge level (14.5 V to 15.5 V). Click ‘Battery Monitor’ in ICU to check status. Unit may be discharged by turning on, but use of an RF terminator (dummy load) to stop radiation is recommended. ►Immediately ► disconnect power whenever the status light flashes Red/Green as this indicates that the battery terminals are shorted.
