Datasheet Power Supply Diode Module with Voltage Sensing This module provides two high current diodes used to connect power supplies in parallel. If one power supply fails or is shutdown the diodes prevent that supply from drawing current from the remaining supply. This is done primarily for redundancy but if the supplies are adjusted to the same output voltage it can also be used for increased load current. The module features a voltage sensing circuit. A user adjustable set point determines the minimum acceptable voltage level (the same for each power supply). If either supply drops below this level a relay contact will provide a fault signal. This feature allows a DCS or PLC to know the status of the power supplies. It can also be used to drive an annunciator or other alarm device.
