User's Guide Model 445705 Hygro-Thermometer Clock Introduction Congratulations on your purchase of the Extech HygroThermometer Clock. This Clock with alarm displays Time, Temperature, % Relative Humidity, Day, Month and Date. The clock can be wall mounted or desk mounted using the supplied leg and screw. Proper care and use of this device will provide years of reliable service. Operation Battery Installation Insert two 1.5V 'AA' batteries (alkaline batteries are recommended) in the rear battery compartment. Ensure that the (+) positive and (-) minus terminals of the battery match the positive and negative symbols on the clock's battery compartment. Battery life is typically one year. Push button description 1. SET 2. UP 12/24 3. DOWN °C/°F 4. ALARM ON/OFF Enter the SET mode UP increases the set value; 12/24 switches the hour format DOWN decreases the set value; C/F switches the temperature units Set alarm and snooze ON/OFF Setting the Date and Time 1. Press and HOLD the SET button for three seconds until the hours digit begins to flash. 2. Press the UP or DOWN button to set the value (or hold for fast scroll). 3. Press the SET button to step through the selections; hour > minute > day > month > year > exit. Setting the Alarm Time 1. Press ALARM ON/OFF to display the alarm set time. 2. Press and HOLD the SET button for three seconds until the hours digit begins to flash. 3. Press SET and UP or DOWN to set the alarm hour and repeat to set the alarm minutes. Turning the Alarm and Snooze ON/OFF 1. Press ALARM ON/OFF to display the alarm set time. 2. Press ALARM ON/OFF button three times to turn the alarm on (the alarm “bell” indicator will appear in the display) and a fourth time to turn the 4 minute snooze on ( the “Zz” indicator will appear). 3. When the alarm sounds, press the ALARM ON/OFF button to disable the alarm. If the “Zz” snooze is enabled, the alarm will sound again in four minutes. Changing Temperature Units 1. Press DOWN °C/°F to change between degrees Celsius and degrees Fahrenheit. Changing 12 to 24 Hour clock 1. Press UP 12/24 to change between a 12 hour and a 24 hour clock.
