Description
Reztore™ Static-Wipes are celluloserayon-polyester tissues saturated
with an aqueous alcohol antistatic
cleaning solution and packaged in
a convenient anti-static reclosable
pop-up container. They are used to
clean surfaces and make surfaces
static safe in most environments.
General Guidelines
The solution, which is non-flammable
and non-toxic, can be applied to
any surface such as computer
screens, heel and toe grounders,
rubber mats, vinyl mats, field service
kits, laminated table tops, painted
surfaces, acrylic, glass, shelving,
conveyor belts, containers, optical
surfaces, keyboards, telephones,
and office copiers in order to remove
and prevent the generation of static
charges.
This solution cleans and removes
static charges from these surfaces.
Reztore™ Static-Wipes clean
and remove dust, grease, grime,
fingerprints, and solder flux from
surfaces used in a static sensitive
area. Static-Wipes leave no insulative
residue, are fast drying, non-streaking
and contain no alkali or ammonia.
The tissues trap particles without
recontaminating the surface with loose
fibers. These wipes clean without
ozone depleting fluorocarbons.
Because each tissue is individually
dispensed in a handy, reclosable
static dissipative container, it is ideal
for both the office and assemblymanufacturing areas and can be
stored on the work bench. This
product eliminates sprayers, bottles,
solvent cans and individually wrapped
foil envelopes.
To dispense a wipe, pull up the tissue
at an angle in order
to tear the tissue at the perforation.
Unfold the tissue and wipe all
surfaces that are to be cleaned and
static protected. Wipe all surfaces
liberally, using both sides of the tissue
if needed. Wait approximately 30
seconds for the solution to dry. For
heavily soiled areas apply medium
pressure and rub vigorously until
clean. When through be sure to close
the pop-up closure in order to prevent
the remaining tissues from drying.
“Only cleaning materials or processes
which do not degrade the properties
of the ESD protective items shall be
used.” (EN 61340-5-1 clause 5.5 EPA
working practices)
Reztore™ Static-Wipes are sold in
individual canisters of 160 6” x 6”
(15cm x 15cm) wipes or in cartons
of 12 canisters of 60 4” x 6” (10cm x
15cm) wipes per canister.

Testing
It is recommended to test the surface
after cleaning to ensure that all
insulative contaminants such as grime
or dirt have been removed. Reztore™
Static-Wipes are specifically designed
to leave behind a coating which has
a surface resistance of 108 Ohms or
lower.
Field Test
For quick and easy verification of
surface resistance we recommend the
use of a megohmmeter. These are
available from many Desco Industries
companies. For testing of static
fields, we recommend the use of a
static field meter. These instruments
are also available from many Desco
Industries companies.
