Serial production of cable sets benefits from efficient and electrically safe installation of the flat cable. This is ensured by beryllium copper contacts and connector design. The spread contacts, a proprietary technique developed by Thomas & Betts, allow the use of standard flat cable on 1.27mm centers as well as any mating Thomas & Betts connectors.
