BUS IC DC/DC CONVERTER MOTOR DRIVER IC RIPPLE COUNTER DRIVER IC I/O IC SENSOR IC SENSOR INTERFACE IC K-Bus transceiver ÿ LIN- / K-Bus transceiver LIN transceiver + VREG LIN transceiver LIN transceiver + VREG + WD Single wire CAN transceiver CAN transceiver ÿ LIN- / K-Bus transceiver FEATURES E910.15 DESCRIPTION PINNING ÿ Supply voltage range VS 6V to 18V The IC is designed to control bidirectional serial data transmission ÿ Logic supply voltage range VDD 4.5V to 5.5V on bus lines. It supports both LIN- and K-Bus which are selected ÿ Data rate up to 20kBaud for LIN-mode by the MODE pin. This feature allows an easy migration from K- to ÿ Data rate up to 9.600Baud for K-mode LIN-bus without changing the transceiver. ÿ Change between LIN-mode and K-mode with external pin The high voltage range and the low standby current as well as the ÿ Internal monitoring features wide temperature range make the IC interesting for a wide field ÿ Output driver with slewrate control (EMI) of applications. ÿ Very low standby current (15µA typical) ÿ Bus input voltage excursion from An implemented over temperature protection disables the bus – 24V to + 30V (independent of VS) driver to prevent damages. Bus voltage excursions from -24V to ÿ Over temperature protection + 30V ensures easy board protection. ÿ Applicable as diagnostic interface to ISO 9141 PACKAGE Pin Name Description 1 GND Ground GND 1 8 2 VDD +5V supply VDD 2 7 3 BUS Bus driver output, active low and receiver input BUS 3 6 4 VS +12V supply voltage VS 4 5 5 SEN/STA I/O pin send status 6 TxD Serial data from µC to IC 7 RxD Serial data from IC to µC 8 MODE MODE RxD TxD SEN/STA Mode = “1” = not connected: K-Bus-Mode; Mode = “0” : LIN-Bus-Mode and OBD II ÿ Load-dump and jump-start protected ÿ – 40°C to + 125°C operating temperature ÿ SO8n and SO14n package APPLICATION ÿ Automotive bus systems ÿ Body electronics ÿ Comfort electronics BLOCK DIAGRAM VBAT VDD VS VDD R xD Ref.
