This production-ready design can serve as the core digital audio decoder in a 5.1-channel A/V receiver. It offers the audio product designer 20 MIPS with which to create product-differentiating features. The EZ5.1 can implement music modes, virtual 3-D surround sound for speakers or headphones, Karaoke processing, and bass management. Customers may further expand the scope of their product by adding their own, or third-party, software stored in the convenient on-board EPROM, or downloaded using simple system commands. SiliconSoftware® is a collection of versatile applications of both Zoran®’s own and third-party developed applications that run on the ZR38600 family of processors. Zoran is committed to supplying the hardware and software that are capable of decoding today’s formats as well as emerging formats such as AAC, MLP, and DTS.
