Echotel® Model 352 Ultrasonic Non-Contact Two-Wire I.S. Transmitter D E S C R I P T I O N Echotel Model 352 non-contact two-wire level transmitters utilize proven ultrasonic technology and sophisticated electronics to measure the level of liquid applications. The non-contact transducer is mounted integrally and is available in CPVC or 316 stainless steel. This two-wire device operates on 24 VDC and provides a 4–20 mA output. All parameters are entered by means of a series of six rotary switches and three dip switches housed within the unit. Pulses generated by the microprocessor-based electronics are directed to the level surface via the sensor. The returning echo signal is detected by the sensor. The microprocessor amplifies and converts the signal into a digital representation of the distance from the reflecting surface. A 4-20 mA output is provided and is continuous over the entire span. The unit also has the capability of being operated as a single point switch with the span setting being the actuation point. A self-test feature is standard and will verify the performance of the transducer and the amplifier in the event the unit has echo loss for a short period of time. The unit meets intrinsically safe entity requirements with the use of an approved I.S. safety barrier.
