Several actuators may be combined to a bus system, connected by common supply, ground and interface lines. Proprietary software algorithms can be implemented either in the E2PROM or in mask programmable ROM. The communication protocol complies to LIN rev. 1.3 with a baud rate of up to 19.2kBaud. An autoaddressing capability is implemented in the LIN circuitry. High flexibility of communication handling and motor control can be achieved by an embedded RISC microcontroller.
