driven by HALL SEnsor- and contact monitor (8 channel, parallel interface) Features ˘ General Description 8 channel hall sensor and switch monitor Supply voltage range VS 5.5V to 25V Logic supply range VCC 4.75V to 5.25V Low standby current (ENB=1): IVS < 18µA, IVDD < 10µA Contact status monitoring by comparison of the switch resistance with an internal threshold Inputs are current limited High noise immunity Over temperature protected Operating temperature range – 40°C to + 125°C SOIC 20 package The IC is developped for automotive applications. It continuously monitors up to 8 hall sensors or switches to GND. For proper detection the external switch resistance needs to be larger than 5kΩ for OFF-state (OUTn=1) and less than 330Ω for ON-state (OUTn=0). ˘ ˘ ˘ ˘ ˘ ˘ ˘ ˘ ˘ In active mode (ENB=0) all input monitors are activated with a pull-up current switched to the inputs IN0-IN7 and the resulting voltage level is compared to a reference. The comparison is performed with threshold hysteresis corresponding to current levels of max. 6mA (ON to OFF transition) and min. 11mA (OFF to ON). The input current as well as the tristate driver are activated with the enable pin. Due to the tristate outputs the IC can be used in bus configuration.
