driven by E910.99 PIR light controller for DC/AC applications Features General Description ÿ ÿ ÿ ÿ ÿ ÿ ÿ ÿ ÿ ÿ ÿ ÿ The integrated circuit E910.99 combines all required functions for a single chip Passive Infra Red (PIR) light controller. It is designed for load switching with a transistor or a relay in 3 wire AC and DC systems. Fully integrated PIR motion detector Supply voltage range 4.8 V to 48 V Digital Signal Processor (DSP) Open drain high voltage relay output PWM output Dimmer function Adjustable soft on/off switching (fading) Temperature compensation input Daylight detection input Low current consumption Operating temperature range -40°C to +85°C SOIC 20 package A conventional PIR sensor connects directly to the PIR input. The pull-down resistor and DC decoupling circuitry are integrated on chip. The PIR signal is converted to a 15 bit digital value. All signal processing is performed digitally. External potentiometers or resistors are used to set the operating parameters for sensitivity, on-time, brightness, fade, daylight sensor and environment temperature correction. The corresponding voltage levels are converted to digital values with a 4 bit resolution. Applications ÿ ÿ ÿ ÿ ÿ ÿ Automatic bedroom night lights High end lighting switches Outdoor and indoor motion sensor lights Battery operated lights Solar powered garden lights Energy saving The features and the minimum amount of external components make the E910.99 most suitable for all PIR sensor light applications. 9 IRA1 P4 P3 P2 P1 R1 R3 R2 LDR1 R4 NTC On Off R5 10 PIRIN 14 VSSA 15 BRIGHT 1 FADE 2 SENS 3 ON-TIME 4 P5 Voltage Regulator Supply Light D1 LAMP REL1 Driver PWM Driver Relay Driver Parameters ADC 17 RELAY 18 PWM 20 VSW 19 Band Pass Filter 5 16 8 Light R6 Q1 VDD C4 C3 VSS LMODE VDD 0V VSS Oscillator VDD Auto Input Amplifier A/D Converter VDD TCOMP N1 VDD VDDA VB SWIN 7 DARK 6 VDD VSS ELMOS Semiconductor AG Controller 11 TEST 12 TOG 13 RETRIG VDD E910.99 Info Sheet QM-No.: 25IS0030E.00 2009-09-03 ELMOS Semiconductor AG – Headquarters Heinrich-Hertz-Str. 1 | 44227 Dortmund | Germany Phone + 49 (0) 231 - 75 49 - 100 | Fax + 49 (0) 231 - 75 49 - 149 [email protected] | www.elmos.de Note ELMOS Semiconductor AG (below ELMOS) reserves the right to make changes to the product contained in this publication without notice.
