They quickly became designers’ preferred choice for CDMA designs because these innovative products greatly improved battery life and talk time in cellular handsets without additional components. Each subsequent generation of HELP™ products has raised the standard of performance for CDMA, WCDMA and LTE mobile devices establishing ANADIGICS as the leader in 3G & 4G power amplifier performance. ANADIGICS latest generation HELP™ products deliver long battery life and use time in voice and data modes. These switched mode power amplifiers optimize current consumption at several output power modes through internal changes in the RF amplification circuits, enabling excellent efficiency across the entire dynamic range of operation. When the device is not transmitting, switching into the lowest power state minimizes the quiescent or idle current with the output power and linearity required for reliable voice or data modes. HELP3™, HELP4™ and HELP5™ PA’s are designed to operate efficiently from a fixed battery voltage and also with variable voltage from a DC-DC converter or switched-mode power supply (SMPS). ANADIGICS HELP3™ power amplifier products have two mode states that simplify phone calibration. Quiescent (idle) currents are typically 8mA or less. Some products include built-in RF couplers to support power control in many popular chipsets. ANADIGICS HELP4™ power amplifier products have three mode states to maximize power added efficiency over the entire range of mobile device power outputs. Quiescent (idle) currents of HELP4™ products are 3mA or less. All HELP4™ products include built-in RF couplers and internal DC-blocks on the RF in/out ports. ANADIGICS HELP5™ power amplifier products are designed with two mode states for simple calibration and improved efficiency with an SMPS or operating directly from the battery. Quiescent (idle) currents of HELP5™ products are 3mA or less. HELP5™ products include built-in RF couplers and internal DC-blocks on the RF in/out ports. Most ANADIGICS single-band products are offered in 3x3mm packages. Dual-band designs are offered in both a 3x5mm and a 3x4mm package, the smallest footprint per-band on the market today. Common footprint and pinouts simplify RF layouts for multiband 3G designs and enable design reuse. 2 Sing le CDMA/EDVO & WCDMA/HSPA P ower Ampl i fi ers k e y f e a t u r e s ANADIGICS Products HELP™ Deliver the 3G Experience Improving 3G Performance with Each Generation RF output power and linearity to maintain high rate wireless connections CDMA/EVDO and WCDMA/HSPA mobile devices that deliver high speed mobile data and traditional voice calling to mobile users demand superior RF performance to assure user experience.
