SEMICONDUCTOR TECHNICAL DATA The MC10H/100H607 is a 6–bit, registered PECL to TTL translator. The device features differential PECL inputs for both data and clock. The TTL outputs feature 48mA sink, 24mA source drive capability for driving high fanout loads or transmission lines. The asynchronous master reset control is an ECL level input. With its differential PECL inputs and TTL outputs the H607 device is ideally suited for the receive function of a HPPI bus type board–to–board interface application. The on chip registers simplify the task of synchronizing the data between the two boards. FN SUFFIX PLASTIC PACKAGE CASE 776–02 The device is available in either ECL standard: the 10H device is compatible with MECL 10H logic levels, with a VCC of +5.0 volts, while the 100H device is compatible with 100K logic levels, with a VCC of +5.0 volts. • • • • Differential ECL Data and Clock Inputs 48mA Sink, 15mA Source TTL Outputs Single Power Supply Multiple Power and Ground Pins to Minimize Noise Pinout: 28–Lead PLCC (Top View) Q3 VCCT Q4 TGND Q5 VCCT MR 25 24 23 22 21 20 19 Q2 26 18 D5 Q1 27 17 D5 Q0 28 16 D4 TGND 1 15 D4 CLK 2 14 VCCE CLK 3 13 D3 VBB 4 12 D3 5 6 7 8 9 10 11 D0 D0 EGND D1 D1 D2 D2 MECL 10H is a trademark of Motorola, Inc. 9/96 Motorola, Inc. 1996 2–316 REV 2 MC10H607 MC100H607 LOGIC DIAGRAM 1 OF 6 BITS Dn Dn D Qn Q CLK R CLK CLK MR VBB PIN NAMES TRUTH TABLE Pin Function D0 – D5 D0 – D 5 CLK, CLK MR Q 0 – Q5 True PECL Data Inputs Inverted PECL Data Inputs Differential PECL Clock Input PECL Master Reset Input TTL Outputs VCCE VCCT TGND EGND PECL VCC TTL VCC TTL Ground PECL Ground Dn MR TCLK/CLK Qn + 1 L H X L L H Z Z X L H L Z = LOW to HIGH Transition DC CHARACTERISTICS (VCCT = VCCE = 5.0V ±5%) Symbol Characteristic Min TA = 0°C Typ Max Min TA = + 25°C Typ Max Min TA = + 85°C Typ Max Unit IEE ECL Power Supply Current 10H 100H 70 65 85 80 70 70 85 85 70 75 85 95 ICCL TTL Supply Current 100 120 100 120 100 120 mA ICCH TTL Supply Current 100 120 100 120 100 120 mA MECL Data DL122 — Rev 6 Condition mA 2–317 MOTOROLA MC10H607 MC100H607 10H PECL DC CHARACTERISTICS (VCCT = VCCE = 5.0V ±5%) TA = 0°C Symbol Characteristic Min Max TA = 25°C Min Max TA = 85°C Max Unit IINH Input HIGH Current 255 145 Min 145 µA Condition IINL Input LOW Current 0.5 0.5 0.5 µA VIH Input HIGH Voltage 3830 4160 3870 4190 3930 4280 mV VCCT = 5.0V VIL Input LOW Voltage 3050 3520 3050 3520 3050 3555 mV VCCT = 5.0V VBB Output Bias Voltage 3600 3710 3630 3730 3670 3790 NOTE: PECL VIL, VIH, VOL, VOH, VBB are given for VCCT = VCCE = 5.0V and will vary 1:1 with power supply. mV VCCT = 5.0V Max Unit Condition 145 µA 100H PECL DC CHARACTERISTICS (VCCT = VCCE = 5.0V ±5%) TA = 0°C Symbol Characteristic Min Max TA = 25°C Min Max 255 TA = 85°C Min IIH Input HIGH Current 145 IIL Input LOW Current 0.5 µA VIH Input HIGH Voltage 3835 4120 3835 4120 3835 4120 mV VCCT = 5.0V VIL Input LOW Voltage 3190 3525 3190 3525 3190 3525 mV VCCT = 5.0V VBB Output Bias Voltage 3600 3720 3600 3720 3600 3720 NOTE: PECL VIL, VIH, VOL, VOH, VBB are given for VCCT = VCCE = 5.0V and will vary 1:1 with power supply. mV VCCT = 5.0V 0.5 0.5 10H/100H TTL DC CHARACTERISTICS (VCCT = VCCE = 5.0V ±5%) TA = 0°C Symbol VOH Characteristic Min Output HIGH Voltage Max 2.5 2.0 TA = 25°C Min Max 2.5 2.0 TA = 85°C Min Max 2.5 2.0 Unit V Condition IOH = –15mA IOH = –24mA VOL Output LOW Voltage 0.55 0.55 0.55 V IOL = 48mA NOTE: DC levels such as VOH, VOL, etc., are standard for PECL and FAST devices, with the exceptions of: IOL = 48mA at 0.5VOL; and IOH = 24mA at 2.0VOH.
