Automotive infotainment power management STMicroelectronics Multifunction voltage regulators for car radio and infotainment Automotive-qualified voltage regulators are designed to supply all functions of a modern car radio, from the tuner to the CDROM, from the microcontroller to the USB port. These multiregulators can integrate, in a single package, DC-DC converters (to supply devices which require high currents), linear regulators (available at different voltages), high-side drivers and standby regulators. The different packages, a full set of protection functions required by the automotive field, possible digital control through the I²C bus, direct connection to the battery and low quiescent current make them suitable for many other automotive applications, such as navigation systems, dashboards and infotainment in general.
