The output voltage (Vout) is the product of photocurrent (IPH) and loading resistor (RL) 2. A right loading resistor shall be chosen to meet the requirement of maximum ambient light, and output saturation voltage: Vout(max.) = Iout(max.) × RL ≦ Vout(saturation)=Vcc-0.4V Everlight Electronics Co., Ltd. Over-current-proof Customer must apply resistors for protection, otherwise slight voltage shift might cause big current happen. (Burned-out might happen). 2. Storage (1) Do not open moisture proof bag before components are ready to use. ℃ or less and (2) Before opening moisture proof bag, components should be kept at 30 90%RH or less. (3) Components should be used within a year. ℃ or less and (4) After opened moisture proof bag, components should be kept at 30 70%RH or less. (5) Components should be used within 168 hours after opened moisture proof bag. (6) If the moisture absorbent material (silica gel) has faded away or the components have exceeded the storage time, baking treatment should be performed using the ℃ for 24 hours) following conditions. (Baking treatment: 60±5 ESD Precaution: Proper storage and handing procedures should be followed to prevent ESD damage to the devices especially when they are removed from the Anti-static bag. Electro-Static Sensitive Devices warning labels are on the packing. Everlight Electronics Co., Ltd. Document No: DAS-019-002 Rev2.0 7 http:\\www.everlight.com Jan. 25, 2008 Surface - Mount Ambient Light Sensor ALS-PT19-315C/L177/TR8 Recommended Solder Profile Notice: (1) Reflow soldering should not be done more than two times. (2) When soldering, do not put stress on the devices during heating. (3) After soldering, do not warp the circuit board. Soldering Iron ℃ Each terminal is to go to the tip of soldering iron temperature less than 350 for 3 seconds within once in less than the soldering iron capacity 25W. Leave two seconds and more intervals, and do soldering of each terminal. Be careful because the damage of the product is often started at the time of the hand solder. Repairing Repair should not be done after the device have been soldered. When repairing is unavoidable, a double-head soldering iron should be used (as below figure). It should be confirmed beforehand whether the characteristics of the device will or will not be damaged by repairing. Everlight Electronics Co., Ltd.
