Analog Addressable Module • Monitors and controls addressable input and output devices. • Monitors and controls up to 126 points per circuit. • XP95 protocol. Description g2021ph1.jpg Gamewell’s Analog Addressable Module (AAM95) provides the monitoring and control of XP95 protocol sensors and addressable input and output devices. The AAM95 is compatible with the IF632 and IF650 Fire Alarm Control Panels (FACPs). The analog addressable module is configured with one, two, or four analog circuits, with each circuit capable of monitoring up to 126 individual points. The AAM95 has a dedicated microprocessor that monitors each circuit while communicating all status information to the main CPU of the IF632 or IF650 control panel. Each AAM95 has an optional display that provides Alarm and Trouble annunciation LEDs and tactile switches for control by circuit. The display has provisions for custom labeling of each circuit. Operation The Analog Addressable Module (AAM95) occupies a bus position in the IF632 or IF650 Control Panel. Compatible devices (including any Series 95 devices) return their analog value to the AAM95 module, which communicates with the main CPU of the FACP for evaluation of the analog value. If the panel determines that the value is outside the normal range, the system enters alarm or trouble mode. Communication time is kept to a minimum by utilizing parallel processing on both the system bus and the circuits of the AAM95. The AAM95 circuits are monitored by the system for ground faults. The module will operate in the event that the system enters into Alarm Default Mode. The AAM95 will support Style 4, 6, and 7 wiring. Style 7 wiring requires the use of line isolators (XP95-LI) to segregate the analog circuit in the case of a direct short on the line. Engineer’s Specifications The system shall include analog addressable circuits for the monitor and control of identifiable devices. The system’s analog addressable module shall incorporate a dedicated microprocessor in order to minimize communications and response times to off-normal conditions. The analog addressable module shall support Style 4, 6, and 7 in field wiring. The analog addressable module shall incorporate a default operation capability which will allow the system to activate a general alarm even in the event of a main CPU failure.
