MiniSkiiP® Power Modules for Standard Drives
Introduction:
Power modules are key components of inverters, which in turn are critical in the industrial drive device chain. With recent
advances in industrial drives, demand for more flexible power modules that offer a greater range of semiconductors and
housings is on the rise. Vincotech›s MiniSKiiP® family of modules meets this demand. Available in four housing sizes,
MiniSKiiP® 0, MiniSKiiP® 1, MiniSKiiP® 2 and MiniSkiiP® 3, MiniSKiiP® modules cover two power ranges, 1 kW to 25 kW
for one phase input rectifier applications (600 V semiconductor), and 1 kW to 45 kW for three phase input rectifier
applications (1200 V semiconductor). Each variant meets different requirements for function and cost.

Drives are among the oldest applications in power electronics, and power module topologies have not changed much
in recent years. Two types of circuits have prevailed: in a PIM, the rectifier, brake chopper and inverter switches are
combined in a single housing. In a PACK topology, the housing contains only the inverter switches and diodes. Vincotech
offers both options in the MiniSKiiP® format.
