PNA2P020 magnetic sensor is built in two parts : "contact" and "magnet" The switch is open without magnet presence. → Wiring: 2 meters cable with 4 wires : 2 for the switch and 2 for autoprotection circuit. REED switech contact without external supply (see figure 1) → Built in plastic housing with 2 mounting possibilites: Figure 2 : 2 diameter 8mm "contact" (2) and "magnet" (1) directly installed Figure 3 : "contact" and "magnet" mounted inside an other plastic housing (3) This additional plastic housing has different parts : - Socket (3) : the "contact" cable can be on the right or on the left - Cover (5) : to mask screws mounting - Spacers (4) to adjust the mounting. → PNA2P020 magnetic sensor is designed in compliance with EN 50131 concerning Alarm Systems - Intrusion and Hold-Up Systems figure 1 → Certification NF-A2P 3 shields – Certification REFERENCE NF324-H58 N°: 2133300001A0 By : CNPP - Département Certification - CNPP Cert. Respect the detection distances of table 1 2) Check that the frames have sufficient depth to accommodate both sides of the contact. (In general the " contact" is mounted on the fixe window frame and the magnet on the mobile frame) . 3) Check the position of the cable 4) For mounting the " contact", a hole of Ø 8 mm with the suitable drill perforating according the material . 5) Release the hole residues or chips and trimming if necessary . 6) Insert the cable into the contact hole 7) Insert the sensor into the hole and push without tools that could damage it. 8) The mounting instructions for the magnetic part is similar. Respect the detection distances of table 2 Align the two small arrows 4) Mark and practice holes for the screws. Spacing = 16mm Use the drill bit most suitable depending on the media type and screw (see table "3") to be used for fixing. 5) Remove the thin-walled plastic housing on the side you want the position of relase cable and remove burrs. 6) Insert the sensor and fix it with the screws. If there are differences between the two fixing surfaces insert one or more spacers to have the two parts on the same level. For systems on iron surfaces, it is essential to use at least one spacer for each of the contact part. 7) Set the magnet assembly in accordance with the parts according to Figure 3. Block head screws with cyanoacrylate glue. 8) Fit and tighten the two covers with cyanoacrylate glue. The causes of false alarms may depend on higher clearances between fixed and mobile parts. Any installation that does not meet the maximum distance and alignment between the fixed part and the movable part can generate false alarms or malfunction contact. WIRING If it is impossible to pass the cable through the frame, secure it with small jumpers or pass it in a built-in wall sleeve. The cable should not be stretched.
