Data on the A or B bus will be clocked into the registers on the low-to-high transition of the appropriate clock (CLKAB or CLKBA) input. FK PACKAGE (TOP VIEW) 4 3 2 A1 A2 A3 NC A4 A5 A6 Output-enable (OE) and direction-control (DIR) inputs are provided to control the transceiver functions. In the transceiver mode, data present at the high-impedance port may be stored in either register or in both. The select control (SAB and SBA) can multiplex stored and real-time (transparent mode) data. The direction control determines which bus will receive data when OE is active (low). In the isolation mode (OE high), A data may be stored in one register and/or B data may be stored in the other register. 5 1 28 27 26 25 6 24 7 23 8 22 9 21 10 20 19 11 12 13 14 15 16 17 18 OE B1 B2 NC B3 B4 B5 A7 A8 GND NC B8 B7 B6 • NC − No internal connection When an output function is disabled, the input function is still enabled and may be used to store and transmit data. Only one of the two buses, A or B, may be driven at a time. The SN54BCT648 is characterized for operation over the full military temperature range of −55°C to 125°C. The SN74BCT648 is characterized for operation from 0°C to 70°C. Copyright 1994, Texas Instruments Incorporated !"#$%! & '("")% $& ! *(+,'$%! -$%).
