The maximum eccentricity is smaller than or equal to the lead diameter of the product concerned. MKP metallized polypropylene film • Product height with seating plane as given by “IEC 60717” as reference: hmax ≤ h + 0.3 mm or hmax ≤ h’ + 0.3 mm. 144x12(halfpage) metal spray layer bmax = b + 0.3 mm eccentricity connecting wire CBA198 lmax = l + 0.3 mm CBA116 Fig.5 Construction. Fig.6 Lay-out. Mounting Storage temperature NORMAL USE • Storage temperature: Tstg = −25 to +40 °C with RH maximum 80% without condensation. The capacitors are designed for mounting on printed-circuit boards. The capacitors packed in bandoliers are designed for mounting on printed-circuit boards by means of automatic insertion machines. For detailed tape specifications refer to this handbook, chapter “Packaging information”. RATINGS AND CHARACTERISTICS REFERENCE CONDITIONS Unless otherwise specified, all electrical values apply to an ambient temperature of 23 ±1 °C, an atmospheric pressure of 86 to 106 kPa and a relative humidity of 50 ±2%. For reference testing, a conditioning period shall be applied over 96 ±4 hours by heating the products in a circulating air oven at the rated temperature and a relative humidity not exceeding 20%. 2000 Sep 11 9 BCcomponents Product specification Interference suppression film capacitors MKP 338 2 CHARACTERISTICS Capacitance CBA505 296x12(full_width) 4 ∆C/C (%) 2 typical 0 max. -2 -4 min. -6 -50 0 50 100 Tamb (°C) Fig.7 Capacitance change at 1 kHz as a function of temperature. APPLICATION NOTES • For X2 electromagnetic interference suppression in across the line applications (50/60 Hz) with a maximum mains voltage of 275 V (AC). • These capacitors are not intended for continuous pulse applications. For these situations, capacitors of the AC and pulse program must be used, such as: 2222 375 .....; 2222 383 ..... or 2222 479 ..... • The maximum ambient temperature must not exceed 105 °C. • Rated voltage pulse slope: – If the pulse voltage is lower than the rated voltage, the values of the specific reference data can be multiplied by 385 V (DC) and divided by the applied voltage. 2000 Sep 11 13 BCcomponents Product specification Interference suppression film capacitors MKP 338 2 MARKING Product marking The capacitors are marked by laser print (see Figs 14 to 16) with the following information: 144x12(halfpage) 1.
