AP5668 is a monolithic integrated circuit, which
provides precise DC volume control, and a stereo
bridged 3 channel audio power amplifiers capable
of producing 2.6W into 4Ω with less than 10%
THD+N. The attenuator range of the volume in
AP5668 is from 20dB (DC_Vol=0V) to -80dB
(DC_Vol=3.60V) with 32 steps. The advantage of
internal gain setting can be less components and
PCB area. Both of the de-pop circuitry and the
thermal shutdown protection circuitry are
integrated in AP5668, that reduce pops and clicks
noise during power up or shutdown mode
operation. It also improves the power off pop noise
and protects the chip from being destroyed by
over temperature and short current failure.
The AP5668 uses advanced 1-wire control mode
to complete the channel select and shutdown
function.
To simplify the audio system design, AP5668
combines a stereo bridge-tied loads (BTL) mode
for speaker drive and a stereo single-end (SE)
mode for headphone drive into a single chip,
where both modes are easily switched by the
HP-IN input control pin signal.
AP5668 is available in QFN4x4-20L andTSSOP20
package.

The AP5668 mutes the amplifier outputs when logic high is
applied to the MUTE pin. Applying logic low to the MUTE
pin returns the AP5668 to normal operation. Prevent
unanticipated mute behavior by connecting the Mute pin to
logic high or low. Do not let the Mute pin float.
Output Selection and Shutdown Function
The AP5668 can use CTRL pin to complete 3 channel
input selection. It will select channel 1 when that’s detect
first pulse, select channel when that’s detect second pulse,
and select channel 3 when that’s detect third pulse. The
AP5668 will be shutdown mode if the CTRL pin is keeping
low level over 100us. The default value of CTRL pin will
low level if no any pulse input。The AP5668 must set up
BTL Gain: Av=-2*RF/Ri
The minimum input resistance is 10kΩ when gain setting is
20dB and the resistance will ramp up when close loop gain
below 20dB. The input resistance has wide variation
(+/-10%) caused by process variation.

to allow the amplifier to bias the input signal to the proper
DC level for optimum operation. In this case, Ci and the
