MOTOROLA SEMICONDUCTOR TECHNICAL DATA ÷2 Divider MC10EL32 MC100EL32 The MC10EL/100EL32 is an integrated ÷2 divider. The differential clock inputs and the VBB allow a differential, single-ended or AC coupled interface to the device. If used, the VBB output should be bypassed to ground with a 0.01µF capacitor. Also note that the VBB is designed to be used as an input bias on the EL32 only, the VBB output has limited current sink and source capability. The reset pin is asynchronous and is asserted on the rising edge. Upon power-up, the internal flip-flop will attain a random state; the reset allows for the synchronization of multiple EL32’s in a system. • • • • • 510ps Propagation Delay 8 3.0GHz Toggle Frequency 1 High Bandwidth Output Transitions D SUFFIX PLASTIC SOIC PACKAGE CASE 751-05 75kΩ Internal Input Pulldown Resistors >1000V ESD Protection LOGIC DIAGRAM AND PINOUT ASSIGNMENT Reset 1 CLK 2 8 VCC 7 Q 6 Q R ÷2 CLK VBB PIN DESCRIPTION 3 5 4 VEE PIN FUNCTION CLK Reset VBB Q Clock Inputs Asynch Reset Ref Voltage Output Data Ouputs 5/95 Motorola, Inc. 1996 3–1 REV 3 MC10EL32 MC100EL32 DC CHARACTERISTICS (VEE = VEE(min) to VEE(max); VCC = GND) –40°C Symbol Characteristic Min 0°C Typ Max IEE Power Supply Current 10EL 100EL 25 25 30 30 VEE Power Supply Voltage 10EL 100EL –5.2 –4.5 VBB Output Reference 10EL Voltage 100EL IIH Input HIGH Current –1.43 –1.38 Min –4.75 –4.20 –1.30 –1.26 25°C Typ Max 25 25 30 30 –5.2 –4.5 –5.5 –5.5 –4.75 –4.20 –1.27 –1.26 –1.35 –1.38 –1.38 –1.38 150 Min 85°C Typ Max 25 25 30 30 –5.2 –4.5 –5.5 –5.5 Min –4.75 –4.20 Typ Max Unit 25 29 30 35 mA –5.2 –4.5 –5.5 –5.5 V –1.19 –1.26 V 150 µA Max Unit –1.25 –1.31 –1.26 –1.38 150 150 AC CHARACTERISTICS (VEE = VEE(min) to VEE(max); VCC = GND) –40°C Symbol Characteristic Min Typ 2.2 3.0 500 540 fMAX Maximum Toggle Frequency tPLH tPHL Propagation Delay CLK to Q Reset to Q 360 390 VPP Minimum Input Swing1 150 0°C Max 640 690 Min Typ 2.6 3.0 410 440 500 540 25°C Max 590 640 150 tr Output Rise/Fall Times Q 100 225 350 100 tf (20% – 80%) 1.
