Maximum Server Module Configuration
See the table below for the maximum server configuration based on processor configuration, input voltage,
and maximum ambient temperature for N8141-65F Module Enclosure with 1000 Watt power supply. There
are no configuration limitations for N8141-66F Module Enclosure with 1600 Watt power supply.
The condition for the maximum server configuration is defined when four servers with the same
configuration are installed. For other server configurations, please consult our sales representative.

The maximum available memory is less than the maximum physical memory supported by your system
because some chipsets require PCI resource space of about 750MB. PCI resource requirements vary
depending on the type and the number of PCI cards you are using.

All drives within a RAID array should be of the same type, capacity and rotation speed. Arrange the same
type (interface and rotation speed) of drives for BTO shipping. (BTO shipping is not supported when
different kinds of drives are mixed in the system)

If you would like to change the RAID configuration for BTO shipping, contact your sales representative.
When the total logical capacity is 2TB or larger, logical drive created at the factory is limited up to 2TB. For
the rest of the capacity, please create logical drives as you need by the utility of the RAID controller.
Write Through is set as default in the RAID controller. For higher system performance, Write Back
operation with battery backup unit or CacheVault is recommended. (Please refer to the User's guide for
how to change the RAID controller settings)


Write Through
Write is done synchronously both to the cache and to the HDD.
Write Back
Initially, writing is done only to the cache. The write to the HDD is done later separately. UPS or
battery is required to prevent the loss of data in the write-back cache in case a power failure or
system crash occurs.
