Description of Change:
Silicon Laboratories, Inc (Silicon Labs) is pleased to announce a change of assembly site from IDS
Electronics Sdn. Bhd. (IDS) to Unisem Berhad in Ipoh, Malaysia (UNISEMM) for the SOT-23-5LD
packaged parts. UNISEMM is a qualified assembly site for Silicon Labs and has provided assembly
services to Silicon Labs since 2001.
Reason for Change:
The UNISEMM assembly site provides a reduction of cycle time and an expansion of manufacturing
capacity.
Impact on Form, Fit, Function, Quality, Reliability:
There is no impact on Fit, Function, Quality or Reliability.
Devices assembled at UNISEMM are identical to existing products in form, fit, function, quality and
reliability. There is no change required for board layout or soldering profiles. They meet all of the
same Moisture Sensitivity Level (MSL) and reflow profile specifications and are a direct, drop-in
replacement for packages assembled at IDS. There are no changes to the mechanical specifications
or drawing. They continue to meet all restriction of hazardous substance requirements, including
RoHS and REACH, where applicable.
