We are the only company in the industry offering a full lineup for applications ranging from power line to signal line lightning surge protection. Varistors are variable resistors whose resistance changes drastically when a voltage above a certain threshold is applied. The higher the voltage, the lower the resistance becomes. By connecting such a component in parallel with an electronic circuit, a shorting path is created that becomes active when excessive voltage is present, thereby protecting the equipment.
