MULTI-CHANNEL ZIRCONIA OXYGEN ANALYZER DATA SHEET This oxygen analyzer measures at multiple points the oxygen concentration included in the exhaust gas from a large boiler, and simultaneously outputs the average value of the concentrations. Since the distribution of oxygen concentration in exhaust gas is not uniform with a large boiler such as found in a power plant, the concentration is measured at multiple points in a flue. These values are averaged to provide an optimum oxygen concentration signal which is necessary for combustion control. The converter (ZRN) will accept inputs from up to nine direct-insertion type zirconia oxygen detectors (ZFK), and carries out computations such as averaging of signals from the detectors. The detectors are available in general-use, anticorrosive and high-temperature types for selection according to the customer's intended use. ZRN, ZFK General-use detector High-temperature detector FEATURES 1. Up to nine detectors connectable 3, 6 or 9-channel configuration is selectable, and channels are freely usable within the selected number. Addition of channel unit allows expansion in units of 3 channels (9 channels max.). 2. Interactive setting of parameters Various parameters for measurement and maintenance are easily settable through interaction with the liquid crystal display. 3. A variety of output signals Available as analog output are 3 sets of average-value outputs (average values from desired channel combination) and oxygen concentration output for each channel. Also there are 4 contact outputs per channel and 7 contact outputs common to all channels. All of the analog outputs are isolated. 4. Full complement of maintenance functions Auto calibration function and manual/auto blow-down function are standard-equipped. A self-diagnosis function for the main unit facilitates taking a remedy at the occurrence of a fault. 5. Sampling device is unnecessary Gas sampling devices such as gas aspirator and dehumidifier are unnecessary since the detector is a direct-insertion type. The detector is available in a hightemperature type for measurement of hot gases up to 1590°C and an anticorrosive type for measurement of strongly corrosive gas from a garbage incinerator. CAUTIONS • If combustible gas (CO, H2 etc.) exists in the measured gas, error will occur due to burning at the sensor section. The inclusion of corrosive gas (Si vapor, alkaline metal, P, Pb etc.) will shorten the life of the sensor. • When the measured gas temperature is high (300°C or higher), the flange should be separated from the furnace wall in order to bring the detector flange surface temperature below the specified value(125°C). The flow guide should be attached in the direction in which the gas flow to the detector decreases. • • When much dust is included in the gas, the flow guide tube should be attached at an inclination so that the flow goes from above to below. And the flow guide should be attached in the direction in which the gas flow to the detector decreases. In the case of a refuse incinerator, automatic blowback of the flow guide should not be performed (to prevent corrosion of the flow guide tube due to drainage). Blowdown should be performed manually when change in the indication has become very little with the furnace stopped. 5 ZRN, ZFK CONFIGURATION Flow guide tube system Rc 1/4 (upstream blow port should be selected) Blow-down 200 to 300kPa { 2 to 3 kgf/cm2 } Reducing valve (unnecessary when supply air pressure is 200 to 300 kPa { 2 to 3 kgf/cm2 } ) Solenoid valve for below 1 Air supply Detector ZFK2 ZFK5 Rainproof cover 1 Flow guide tube or 10/ 8 PTFE pipe or copper pipe 15A SGP equivalent tube (not supply) 2 3 4 5 Gas temp. 600°C max. 6 Power supply Detector 1 Rc 1/4 (upstream blow port should be selected) Blow-down 200 to 300 kPa { 2 to 3 kgf/cm2 ) Detector ZFK2 ZFK5 Solenoid valve for belw 9 15A SGP equivalent tube (not upply) Reducing valve Rainpproof cover 1 Flow guide tube 3 4 5 6 Gas temp. 600°C max.
